Video Proposal

The event that I would like to do my video project on is the Mackoskey Center's "Carnival in the Quad". The event is typically very popular, so there would be plenty of people around to interact with and gain perspective from. Additionally, there are many aspects to the event, some rather exciting, like the chicken photo booth. The main goal of the event is to promote sustainability to students in a fun way that they can get behind, and with Earth Day coming up at the end of the month, this event is a perfect way to do that. This event is newsworthy because it is close, it is relevant, and it speaks to a global issue - sustainability. Especially with all the big talk about climate change in today's media and government, being informed about sustainability is important, and this event is the Mackoskey Center doing their part, and that is why I feel that this event is worth covering for the video project for class.
