To kick off the annual Greek Week celebration in the fraternity and sorority life community here at SRU, each year, all the groups get together to perform self-choreographed dance routines for the other fraternities and sororities. It is a competition, like all other Greek Week activities, in which they earn points that will apply to their total points at the end of the week. This event is something the Greek community at Slippery Rock looks forward to all year, and that much is evident based on the smiles of all the faces at the events. Despite all the stress that goes into planning such an event, it is clear that Greek Week is a real morale-booster at this especially stressful time of year. All of the participants are extremely enthusiastic, as they have all worked very hard to come up with their own dance routines in a short amount of time and then they have to perform them in front hundreds of people. Luckily for them, the crowd is equally, if not more enthusiastic right back. The winners for this year’s event were: for Best Partner were Delta Zeta and Theta Chi, for Best Sorority Informal went to Delta Zeta, and Best Fraternity Informal went to Pi Kappa Alpha.
